Kate plays a character called Una in the movie.

Stardust is not your average "fairytale". Yes it set in the magical world of STORMHOLD which is seperated from the fictional olde English town of WALL by a...well...stone wall but the tale is smartly written and the characters are feisty and funny.

However, the stone wall is protected by a wizened old man who knows a few nifty fight moves :D

The story centres around a young man who is rather smitten with the somewhat spoilt Victoria and pledges to win her love by retrieving a fallen star from the other side of the wall, a place where no-one has really explored and come back to tell the tale.

Kate's character in the film is very much, in my opinion, an important role.

I was worried that we wouldn't see that much of her, such is the story's epic scale but fear not, Una is a strong character who is seen frequently throughout the movie and it's always a pleasure to see her because she puts everything into her performance.

The rest of the cast are also good, the main two "crowd pleasers", Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert DeNiro's roles are very different to what I have seen them in before.

DeNiro in particular is very funny as Captain Shakespeare, who is not quite what he seems.

Michelle is brilliantly witty as Lamia, the wicked witch of the story.

Thanks so much for this review. I can't wait to see it now. I'm glad Kate has such a good part in it.

Kate is the best reason to see the movie.

Her performance is excellent, you can really believe in the character she plays and care what happens to her.
